The Sydney Training Centre offers theoretical and practical training on many Woodward products. The training facility contains several demonstration models and simulation set-ups for standard and customized Woodward controls.

Class Types

Two types of classes are available to meet your training needs:

Custom training courses are available at the customer’s request. The custom training for specified controls, applications, and products can be performed on most Woodward controls other than Aircraft products, and can also be given on-site at the customer’s request. Please contact us with any special requirements you may have.

The standard courses cover many Woodward controls. In these courses, Woodward controls are explained with the background of a particular application. The listed training courses are based on a selection of all Woodward products and are designed to be beneficial to all our customers.


Class size of the scheduled courses is limited to provide students better opportunities for learning and hands-on experience. To complement a class, visual aids, handouts, and publications are used. The publications are yours to keep for reference. All material for the class will be supplied.

Please register early to ensure availability. The courses will continue when at least 4 students have registered and paid for a single course. Note: There is a maximum number of 8 students per course.

All registrations must be in advance, preferably at least four weeks before start of the course.

Class Hours

All classes are scheduled from 8:00 a.m. (08:00) through 4:30 p.m. (16:30).

Class Rates

Our class rates do not include accommodation or transportation. Light lunch and refreshments (tea/coffee) will be provided.

Training fees are (Australian dollars):

  • Single company with a group of maximum 8 students, $1650.00/day/group (standard course date as per link below, or custom time possible; email or call to discuss)
  • Mixed group of people/companies, minimum 4 students to go ahead, $300.00/day/person
  • Standard training course manuals, $105.00/manual
  • Custom training course manuals, $135.00/manual


Payment arrangements for all standard classes are to be made at least ten business days before class commencement. An invoice will be issued upon completion of the training class. If you are charging your class on your credit card or by EFT, a deposit of $250.00 (AUD) will be charged with the balance charged at the start of the course. Acceptable forms of payment are: Purchase Order (for account holders), Credit Card (VISA, Master Card, Bank Card, Diners Club, AMEX), Cheque, or EFT. Cheques must be received at least two weeks (ten business days) prior to the course. For payment by EFT or Credit Card, please contact our Accounts Department for the relevant paperwork.


If you must cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. A full refund will be made to those cancelling at least three weeks prior to class. Otherwise, cancellations are subject to a $250.00 (AUD) cancellation fee. A substitute attendee is permitted up to the starting day of the course only.

We reserve the right to cancel any scheduled class. A full refund and adequate notification will be provided to those already signed up.
